USES OF CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) GAS AND LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE BY INDUSTRY

Food Freezing

Liquid or solid carbon dioxide is used for quick freezing, surface freezing, chilling and refrigeration in the transport of foods.

Oil & Gas Recovery

It is well known in the oil industry that carbon dioxide can be applied to your reservoir as a tertiary oil recovery method.

Welding

CO2 is most often mixed with argon as a shielding gas used to prevent atmospheric contamination of molten metal in electric arc welding processes.

Pulp & Paper

CO2 is an industrial gas used in the pulp and paper industry to control pH levels, enhance pulp yield, and wash brownstock and bleached stock.

Health Care Services

CO2 USP is used for insufflation and is often combined with oxygen or air as a respiratory stimulant to promote deep breathing.
